Bamboo Basics created a Code of Conduct to state its values and standards and they only work with suppliers who have signed the Code of Conduct. Bamboo Basics has local offices in China, where most of the garments are produced, and employees who monitor compliance with the Code of Conduct on an almost daily basis. All the suppliers are BSCI certified, an initiative of companies committed to improving working conditions in the global supply chain, from which Bamboo Basics receives an annual report yearly
Bamboo Basics is seeing this as a ‘standard’. They are using different kinds of models and are more focussed on ‘real people’ with different sizes, body shapes, ages and ethnicities instead of the (not so) perfect models
