Mashu was founded by Ioanna, its sole owner, a woman from Greece, who provided us with the corporate registration document of her company. As a receiver of her yearly environmental donation, she selected eXXpedition, a not-for-profit organization that runs pioneering all-women sailing research expeditions at sea and virtual voyages on land to investigate the causes of and solutions to ocean plastic pollution

Mashu is part of the PETA-approved vegan brand of accessories, as can be verified on PETA's website database

Mashu does a great deal to make sure they support environmental protection with their operations. By partnering with 1% for the planet, they plant trees with every purchase, but also only select lower impact alternative materials made with organic byproducts, as well as measuring their CO2 emissions related to manufacturing

Every product shipped by Mashu comes in a low-impact eco-packaging made with mostly recycled materials and no plastics
